East Union pulled off the huge division upset and got rewarded with an easy 1st round game.
Region 3 #3 Riverside (10-11) #24 travels 137 miles to Region 2 #2 Bruce (13-11) #16
Bruce gets the 1st round home victory.
Region 1 #4 Hatley (14-10) #14 travels 137 miles to Region 4 #1 Sebastopol (15-7) #17
You have a very solid up and coming Hatley team that has to take the 2 plus hour bus trip South. Sebastopol takes advantage of the travel for the win in a pretty close contest.
Region 2 #3 Calhoun City (13-12) #18 travels 102 miles to Region 3 #2 North Side (8-11) #26
Calhoun City will be on the road and could pull out the victory in this one. I can see this game going either way but gut says roll with Calhoun City.
Region 6 #4 Puckett (14-10) #20 travels 75 miles to Region 7 #1 West Lincoln (23-5) #8
West Lincoln should be able to get a decent home victory over Puckett.
Region 5 #3 Lake (12-8) #10 travels 87 miles to Region 8 #2 Richton (16-11) #11
Girls 2A is loaded with close games in the 1st round and this is another one. I think Richton gets the nod with home court here.
Region 7 #4 Amite County (3-20) #36 travels 127 miles to Region 6 #1 Pisgah (27-1) #7
Pisgah rolls in their 1st round game.
Region 8 #3 Mize (20-10) #15 travels 50 miles to Region 5 #2 Newton (20-5) #4
Newton gets the victory over a very solid Mize team.
Region 2 #4 Water Valley (6-17) #37 travels 114 miles to Region 3 #1 O’Bannon (13-10) #21
O’Bannon gets the low double-digit victory in the 1st round home game.
Region 1 #3 New Site (17-10) #9 travels 148 miles to Region 4 #2 Philadelphia (11-14) #22
New Site will be traveling a good distance in the 1st round. However, it is hard to pick against Coach Byron Sparks and Chloe Chism on her last ride. New Site pulls it out to fight another day.

Ingomar rolls for the 1st round win,
Region 4 #3 Union (13-16) #25 travels 179 miles to Region 1 #2 Walnut (26-4) #3
Walnut will take its division loss anger out on Union. Walnut rolls with this one as Union makes the long journey nearly to the Tennessee line.

Bay Springs rolls in the 1st round home game.

I’m taking another road warrior in this one. Loyd Star pulls out he close road victory to advance.

Heidelberg should get the comfortable home victory.
Region 6 #3 Pelahatchie (13-11) #13 travels 90 miles to Region 7 #2 Bogue Chitto (13-9) #12
This would be my game to be at if I was picking in 2A 1st round. I see Bogue Chitto pulling out the close home victory to advance.
Magnolia Hoops
