Horn Lake has been having a great season on the low. I see them getting a big win at home.
Region 1 #3 Oxford (17-12) #17 travels 144 miles to Region 2 #2 Germantown (25-5) #1
Germantown got upset and dropped to the 2 spot in the division tournament. They get the solid win in the 1st round game.
Region 4 #4 St. Martin (17-12) #18 travels 170 miles to Region 3 #1 Pearl (22-7) #9
Pearl get the home win to advance.
Region 3 #3 Northwest Rankin (15-14) #16 travels 165 miles to Region 4 #2 Biloxi (18-8) #10
Biloxi comes away with the win at home.
Region 1 #4 Desoto Central (21-8) #7 travels 148 miles to Region 2 #1 Starkville (23-7) #2
Starkville may be peaking at the right time. That’s bad news for DC. DC is really good but going to Starkville in the playoffs is not fun. Starkville gets the solid win.
Region 2 #3 Madison Central (20-11) #6 travels 185 miles to Region 1 #2 Southaven (15-11) #15
This is my 7A boys 1st round game to see. Southaven plays great at home but Madison Central has a team with something to prove this season. I see them barely sneaking back down I55 with the win.
Region 3 #4 Meridian (14-12) #11 travels 163 miles to Region 4 #1 Gulfport (28-2) #3
Gulfport looks to be able to get the big win in this one but you can’t count Meridian out. I have a feeling it will be closer than it appears.
Region 4 #3 Ocean Springs (14-13) #14 travels 167 miles to Region 3 #2 Brandon (17-12) #12
Brandon gets a big home win in this 1st round game.
