Region 2 #4 Clinton (20-9) #6 travels 188 miles to Region 1 #1 Hernando (21-6) #8
Fran Kelly will not lose this game at home. Clinton is good but Hernando is very solid around Fran and I don’t see them being a 1st round out.
Region 1 #3 Southaven (18-8) #14 travels 95 miles to Region 2 #2 Tupelo (25-4) #2
I’m sorry to Southaven for Tupelo getting blown out in the division tournament. They will take it out on the Chargers.
Region 4 #4 Gulfport (13-16) #15 travels 166 miles to Region 3 #1 Northwest Rankin (24-5) #4
NW Rankin gets the solid home win.
Region 3 #3 Meridian (17-10) #10 travels 157 miles to Region 4 #2 St. Martin (23-7) #5
St. Martin comes away with a big 1st round win.
Region 1 #4 Horn Lake (10-18) #18 travels 161 miles to Region 2 #1 Starkville (22-6) #3
Starkville is playing like a state champion right now. Horn Lake can be a scary team for upsets with their outside shooting. Starkville will be too tough at home.
Region 2 #3 Germantown (16-13) #12 travels 144 miles to Region 1 #2 Oxford (21-7) #11
Just saw Oxford recently and was very pleasantly surprised by them. They get a big home win and move to the 2nd round.
Region 3 #4 Oak Grove (12-17) #16 travels 76 miles to Region 4 #1 Biloxi (27-2) #1
Biloxi all the way in this one.
Region 4 #3 Harrison Central (17-7) #7 travels 142 miles to Region 3 #2 Brandon (18-10) #9
This will probably be the game to see in 7A girls 1st round. Harrison Central will be tough tho beat but Coach Holly Moncrief is hard to pick against. Brandon gets the close win at home.
