Balwdyn pick up the comfortable win at home.
Region 2 #3 Byers (14-13) #21 travels 52 miles to Region 4 #1 West Union (25-5) #1
People always say I take the easy choices and I do because they are mostly the smart choices. I’m picking West Union to win this one and I could either see them blowing Byers out or I could also see Byers pulling the upset. Byers is way too good to be a break even ball cub. I’m keeping my eyes on this one.
Region 5 #3 Shaw (17-9) #5 travels 133 miles to Region 7 #1 Leake County (15-9) #9
Shaw fans didn’t hesitate to let me know they love to travel in round 1. They got me in that round but I don’t see them going into Leake County and coming out with a win. That’s a hard gym to win in.

Velma Jackson pulls out a close game at home.
Region 1 #3 TCPS (11-11) #13 travels 63 miles to Region 3 #1 Coffeeville (19-6) #3
TCPS got the big, program changing, win in the 1st round but I’m taking Stan the Man to advance past TCPS.
Region 1 #2 Biggersville (18-9) #4 travels 36 miles to Region 2 #1 Falkner (14-11) #17
Biggersville goes to Tippah County and comes out with a solid win.
Region 6 #2 Nanih Waiya (16-8) #10 travels 132 miles to Region 5 #1 Simmons (10-14) #15
I’m taking Simmons with the home win.
Region 7 #2 Taylorsville (15-13) #8 travels 56 miles to Region 8 #1 East Marion (12-10) #23
Taylorsville gets the close win on the road.
