WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19
Itawamba Community College (North)
4:00 Region 1 #1 East Union (24-5) #4 travels 40 miles vs Region 1 #4 Hatley (16-10) #11 travels 24 miles
East Union got the big 20 plus point win over Hatley this season in division play. I see them getting a win Wednesday but not by that much. This Hatley team is getting better each week and I see it being a close one. East Union makes it to Jackson and it’s not even softball season yet.
7:00 Region 1 #3 New Site (19-10) #7 travels 28 miles vs Region 2 #1 Ingomar (29-2) #1 travels 50 miles
New Site has been rolling lately but that roll stops at ICC. They roll into the mountain called Ingomar. I don’t see it being a blowout but Ingomar wins in the 15 point range.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21
Raymond High School (South)
4:00 Region 8 #2 Richton (18-11) #9 travels 126 miles vs Region 5 #2 Newton (22-5) #5 travels 79 miles
Newton gets a comfortable win making it back to Jackson.
7:00 Region 5 #1 Bay Springs (24-5) #2 travels 80 miles vs Region 8 #1 Heidelberg (25-6) #3 travels 101 miles
We are going to have a game here. Bay Springs gets the close win earning a spot in the semifinals.
