Here is a good way for basketball organizations/teams to get funds for their teams. This is copied from the Facebook page of Ron Nichols:
“As most of my friends know, basketball has been a big part of my life basically since the day I was born. I’ve been involved in many different ways over the years and the game has blessed me in more ways than I could imagine. Playing high school basketball (and junior high as it was called back in the day) are still some of my best memories. Since we are in the middle of the high school playoffs and nearing the end of the season I thought now would be a good time to introduce a program I hope will enhance the opportunities and experiences of current & future hoopers. After a great conversation with the good people at the CREATE Foundation , I’ve established the HOOP DREAMS FUND. Through this fund, any school with a need for something (a shooting machine, a veritmax, a washer & dryer, or something as essential as basketballs) their school budget can’t provide can submit a request to the HOOP DREAMS FUND. This is an open fund so anybody with the inclination can make a tax deductible contribution to the CREATE Foundation dedicated to the HOOP DREAMS FUND. If you are a Coach or know a Coach whose school has a need, let them know about the fund or pass along the attached request form.”
