Southeast Next Level North MS Middle School All-Star Weekend
From The Healing Cathedral Christian Church
Memphis, TN
February 16-18, 2018
Notes: North MS is in good shape with the upcoming middle school kids. I look forward to seeing how these kids develop over the next few years.
Marquin Maddox 6-6 ’22 C Tunica: Big and strong bodied post. He rebounds at a high level. He could end up being in the higher 6 foot range by the time he’s done growing. Maddox with the game winning put back below.
Ricardo Whitelow 5-9 ’22 PG Holly Springs: Smooth and composed point. He showed that he can handle and run a team with no problem. He set his teammates up when he needed to and he scored when the time was right. Scored 11 points in his game.
Cedquavious “DaeDae” Hunter 5-11 ’22 G North Panola: The player of the day in my opinion. Coach Yancy has been telling me about this high level player he had coming. He could possibly be the best player in his class, if not at least a top 5. He scores on all levels. He can score after or around contact. He has extended range on his long ball. He scored 38 points in one game and 24 in another while dropping 7 threes in that game. He is very elusive and can get open at any time.
Tony Davis ’22 PG North Panola: Well composed guard that can handle and run a team with the best of them. Davis with the shot at the buzzer below with the assist from Chalmers.
Darius Naylor 6-2 ’22 G Southaven: The long and lanky guard has nice reach and moves very well. He is a smooth scorer. He gets into the lane and scores with ease. Scored 10 points in his game.
Isaiah Regular 6-5 ’22 F/C Southaven: The long and lanky prospect is a high level shot blocker. He was reaching shots that, even though he had the size advantage over the others kids, most kids couldn’t reach. He scored 16 points in his game and proved that he can play above the rim.
Dillon Williams ’22 PG Southaven: The “no fear” point hit a game winner for his team. Game winner below.
Jonterious “Jon” Chalmers 6-2 ’22 G Southaven: I’ve heard nothing but good things about the big, strong guard. He is built like former Horn Lake and Northwest CC Ranger Jitaurious Gordon. He has the skill to develop into whatever he wants to be. He can handle, he can shoot and he can defend at a high level. He will be a stud to keep an eye on. He scored 17 points in his game.
Southaven: We’re starting to see a pattern of high level Southaven players coming up. I can see a gold ball or two or three in the future for Coach Wilson if he can keep his guys from migrating north for the winter months.
