  2. Baldwyn (18-13)-Resume VS 1A (13-5) Key 1A wins (Houlka by 4, Smithville by 15, Byers by 1, Pine Grove by 25, West Tallahatchie by 6), 1A losses (Biggersville by 13, Ingomar by 21, Smithville by 4, Ingomar by 22, Ingomar by 2), Other key wins (), They were a couple possessions away from sitting in that one spot with a Gold Ball. Would’ve been 13-2 in 1A if not for Ingomar. Flew under the radar all season and took advantage of the “easiest” road to the championships. Biggest win on the resume was beating Byers at Byers by 1 with 3 free-throws with no time on the clock.
  3. Coffeeville (22-8)-Resume VS 1A (11-3) Key 1A wins (Houlka by 3, Biggersville by 5), 1A losses (Biggersville by 9, Houlka by 6, Ingomar by 8), Other key wins (Houston by 2, Kosciusko by 2), The most dangerous team in 1A. Would’ve easily been in the 2 spot here if not for Baldwyn’s title game performance.
  4. Biggersville (25-3)-Resume VS 1A (17-2) Key 1A wins (Shaw by 3 in double OT, Baldwyn by 13, Coffeeville by 9, Pine Grove by 29, Pine Grove by 12, Ingomar by 3 in OT), 1A losses (Pine Grove by 4, Coffeeville by 5), Other key wins (Corinth by 2), They could’ve been in the 2 spot also. Lost at the wrong time of the year in division tournament to Pine Grove and at Coffeeville. Barely escaped Myrtle at home on game winner. Luck was on the side of Biggersville this year with OT thrillers and game winners. Luck didn’t make them the great team they were, it just helped in several key games.
  5. Shaw (23-11)-Resume VS 1A (17-2) Key 1A wins (West Tallahatchie by 15, West Tallahatchie by 11, West Tallahatchie by 8), 1A losses (Biggersville by 3 in double OT, Ingomar by 8), Other key wins (Cleveland Central by 14), Played with Ingomar and only lost to Biggersville by 3 in double OT on the road. This was a top 2 or 3 level team.
  6. West Tallahatchie (17-10)-Resume VS 1A (8-6) Key 1A wins (), 1A losses (Shaw by 15, Shaw by 11, Shaw by 8, Baldwyn by 6, West Bolivar by 5, West Bolivar by 6), Other key wins (), Would’ve been 8-3 in 1A if not for Shaw.
  7. Byers (19-10)-Resume VS 1A (13-1) Key 1A wins (), 1A losses (Baldwyn by 1), Other key wins (Potts Camp by 4), Most likely would’ve played for the title if not for the home loss to Baldwyn by one on 3 free-throws with no time on the clock. The most underrated team in 1A all year. They played probably the toughest schedule in 1A while not losing a game more than 8 points. A 2 point loss to Holly Springs was a good look too.
  8. Pine Grove (27-6)-Resume VS 1A (21-4) Key 1A wins (Biggersville by 4, Houlka by 2), 1A losses (Ingomar by 33, Biggersville by 29, Biggersville by 12, Baldwyn by 25), Other key wins (), The second most dangerous team in 1A. They will be tough next year.
  9. Houlka (19-12)-Resume VS 1A (13-7) Key 1A wins (Coffeeville by 6, Smithville by 5), 1A losses (Ingomar by 26, Ingomar by 34, Baldwyn by 4, Ingomar by 26, Okolona by 9, Coffeeville by 3, Pine Grove by 2), Other key wins (), They hung around top 10 all year. A couple big wins put them in.
  10. Smithville (23-7)-Resume VS 1A (15-3) Key 1A wins (Baldwyn by 4), 1A losses (Ingomar by 16, Baldwyn by 15, Houlka by 5), Other key wins (), They had a top 5-10 season in the toughest 1A division in the state. They will be one of the highly rated 1A teams next year.
