4A Championship

Projected winners in bold (record) miles to The Big House

Thursday March 2 at Mississippi Coliseum

5:00 (G) Region 2 #2 Pontotoc (31-3) travels 167 miles vs Region 4 #1 Louisville (28-3) travels 95 miles

I think this is going to be a very good and tough Championship game. I think Coach Heard brings the Gold Ball back to Pontotoc county with his depth.

7:00 (B) Region 3 #1 Yazoo City (29-5) travels 53 miles vs Region 6 #1 Raymond (27-6) travels 19 miles

This is going to be the absolute best game you will see in Jackson even though most people will not appreciate my expected tempo. You have multiple ring winner vs multiple ring winner. Both of these Coaches know how to win the big game. Coach Tadlock and Raymond are in the middle of a great dynasty in which he is playing with his kids he developed and not the ones handed to him. Coach Carlyle can only win when he goes to a place loaded with pros and college talent. Wait, these Yazoo kids were not projected pros and college level kids when he got there? So this debunks the myth that everyone had going around that he can only win when handed talent. He took these kids as 8th graders and took the bumps and bruises with them. They developed and grew each year until he molded them into a Championship level team. Didn’t another Yazoo team knock off the best team in the state one year with a Coach named Carlyle? I see him following in his fathers footsteps and bringing the gold Ball back to Yazoo. This game will be a classic that will be talked about for ages.
