MHSAA State Tournament Notes
First of all I would like to thank Don Hinton, Rickey Neaves, Todd Kelly and Mary Mitchell with the MHSAA for allowing me to cover this great event. I would also like to thank Chris Brooks and Greg Morgan for doing an amazing job of providing stats for each game. I really enjoyed meeting all the Coaches and players in Jackson. I enjoyed spending time with other media picking their brains on teams and players. As always I enjoy meeting new people. Bam and Pam McCord made their 25th state title appearance in a row. I sure hope to catch up with them at the Gulf Coast All-Star Game. What a joy and passion they have for our sport.
Most of all I would like to thank my wife, Katie. She allowed me to stay in Jackson the entire tournament, only seeing her and my kids a few times. She kept everything in check so I could cover the tournament. I am grateful that she understands the bigger picture of helping people.
