Notes
Coahoma County Red Panthers
Coahoma County Video Highlights
Coach Moore had his guys playing great team basketball. He has a team with good size that passes the ball well. Defensively, they showed up when it counted. The Red Panthers did not allow a field goal in the fourth quarter, only allowing Coahoma AHS to score two free throws. County outscored the Aggies 17-2 in the final frame.
Derrick Moore 6-4 2018 SF 5 pts, 9 reb, 4 st: He come in and scored all 5 points down the stretch of the 4th quarter. He had several steals, timely rebounds and assists to help seal the victory.
Coahoma AHS Tigers
Coahoma AHS Video Highlights
The Tigers have some special pieces in place to be a really, really good team. The guys need time to gel together and play as a cohesive unit. When they do get used to playing with each other, 2A better watch out.
Cornelius Holly 6-4 2018 G/F 9 pts, 5-6 ft, 7 reb, 3 st: Big time athletic player. Huge upside for this high flyer.
Malik Gilliam 6-3 2017 G/F 14 pts, 6 reb: A spitting image of Holly that many people don’t know about. Somebody is going to get a steal with him on the next level.
West Tallahatchie Choctaws
West Tallahatchie Video Highlights
The most complete looking team there. Bigs to go with some good guards. They are very well rounded. This could be a dangerous team once they get adjusted to life after 34-0.
Eli Powell 6-4 2017 G/F 13 pts, 9 in 3rd qtr: He is playing a little out of position for the team and I think he will get adjusted to that down the road. The former Hernando star is one of the best players in 2A.
Dan Locke IV 6-4 2017 G/F 11 pts, 4-5 ft: He showed some good range. Played hard around the basket. He showed the ability to drive and dish and also moved well without the ball.
Clarksdale Wildcats

Coach Hill is going to have him another good team. He was missing several guys due to football and still looked like a very good team. Size, speed and Pooh Bear are a dangerous combination.
Dykelius “Pooh Bear” Grandberry 5-7 2017 PG 11 pts: Pooh Bear was a little cold on the night but he showed he could still get a shot off whenever and wherever he wanted. He instead created shots for his teammates.
Taqorian Polite 6-3 2017 G/F 19 pts: Automatic. This guy was instant points and was automatic from 15 feet. He crashed the boards hard and played very solid defense.
