Notes
Amory Panthers
T.J. Wallace 6-3 2018 G/F 13 pts, 3 3’s: The Panthers have a couple stud player in the system. The lanky guard can score on all levels. Look for his game to develop under Coach Pearson.
Kamden Parks 6-3 2018 G/F 8 pts: The other stud in the stable for Coach Pearson. Another lanky guard that can score on all levels.
Hatley Tigers
Tucker Bourland 6-3 2017 F 3 pts, 5 reb, 5 blk: I’ve been watching his stat lines on MaxPreps and was wondering how in the world he is blocking so many shots. It’s for real. He is just a natural shot blocking machine. No special height or length, just a knack for swatting the ball.
Biggersville Lions
Coach Little got maximum effort out of his guys in this game. If he gets this full time, 1A better watch out.
Devonte Spears 6-0 2018 G 21 pts, 2 3’s, 7-7 ft: Devonte looked like he had it on cruise control. Easily scored 21.
Devonte Spears Video Highlights
Quay Davis 6-0 2019 F 19 pts: Learn his name. He is the next in line of great Biggersville players. He does all the little stuff very well.
Russell Christian Warriors
Xavier “Zay” Heidelberg 5-11 2017 G 28 pts, 13-23 fg, 8 reb, 4 ast: Zay sat out 1st quarter and only played a few minutes in the 4th quarter. Yep he still easily dropped 28. Dude can flat out get buckets. One of the best unknown scorers in the state. Scores easily around the rim or can get free and find the open man. JUCO Coaches need to see him.
Jerimiah Hall 6-4 2017 F 13 pts, 5-6 fg, 9 reb, 5 ast, 6 st, 4 blk: Big man filled up all the stat categories while dealing with cramp issues. Another guy that is a must for JUCO Coaches to check out.
Shannon Red Raiders
C.J. Brim 5-9 2017 G 33 pts, 12-17 fg, 2 3’s, 4 reb: CJ used his speed to get layups and open jumpers. He killed in the mid range game.
Pain Latham 2017 F 4 pts, 5 reb, 2 st, 6 charges taken: He is a charge taking machine. No Pain, no gain.
Coahoma AHS Tigers
Cornelius Holly 6-4 2018 G/F 23 pts, 11-18 fg, 10 reb, 7 st, 19 2nd half pts: Holly was all over the place.
Cornelius Holly Video Highlights
Malik Gilliam 6-3 2017 G/F 19 pts, 21 reb, 3 ast, 9 st: Again, Malik was everywhere. Grabbing boards like crazy and hawking balls.
Detavyion Rush 5-8 2018 PG 5 pts, 8 reb, 6 ast, 5 st: One of the unknown assets of the Tigers that is a big key to the team.
Baldwyn Bearcats
The Bearcats started the game off slow and scored an unheard of 39 points in the 4th quarter in a come back attempt.
Overton “Obie” Gates 6-0 2017 SG 14 pts, 4 3’s in 4th quarter: Gates was a shot in the arm for the Bearcats in the 4th off the bench.
Horn Lake Eagles
Jitaurious Gordon 6-1 2017 PG 32 pts, 11-16 fg, 9-11 ft, 6 reb, 10 ast: Gordon played out of this world and full speed. he dropped 32 and had 10 dimes. Very efficient shooting, limited turnovers. He wasn’t going to be beat.
East Union Urchins
Booneville jumped out on East Union early and Coach McDonald just couldn’t get his guys going.
Booneville Blue Devils
Coach Smith has his guys playing in typical fashion. They play all out and he is ten deep. Coach Smith had 15 guys score for him in this game.
