MHSAA 3A 2nd Round

Schedule and Projections

Interesting 2nd Round Games

Noxubee County (17-13) #92 travels 111 miles to Booneville (20-6) #56- Booneville was an early season favorite for me and they will be facing a very tough opponent in Noxubee.

Holly Springs (23-7) #28 travels 98 miles to Coahoma Early College (27-1) #20- It doesn’t get any better than this. Two former division foes that just happen to be two of the top three teams in 3A. This game is a must see for anyone in the north Delta area. Got to go with home court to separate the two.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal (25-6) #36 travels 110 miles to Southeast Lauderdale (20-9) #75- One of the big three in the south travels to a very, very good Southeast team. I see this being too much Rashad Bolden.

Amory (19-11) #136 travels 45 miles to Houston (20-10) #85- Why this game? Houston is a top 10 3A team and Amory is not that good right? Wrong. Amory is a completely different team with Jamerison Martin on the court. This will be a good game.

Kemper County (22-7) #87 travels 135 miles to Jefferson Davis County (20-8) #83- Two very similar teams here. I think this will be a very good up-and-down game. Home court reigns supreme again.

Biggest Potential Upset According to MaxPreps Rankings

Not really one as far as rankings go but St. Andrew’s knocking of a very good Southeast team on the road might be as about as close as it gets.
