#21 Karlie Rogers (2020, F) 22 points, 18 rebounds

*Karlie, a Northeast Community College signee, was the top scorer in the game and a big factor on the boards.

*Loren (unsigned) is a fierce competitor who refuses to let her team lose the big games.

#1 I’Yana Ragin (2020, G) 21 points, 4 steals

*I’Yana, a Northwest Community College signee, had 17 points in the second half as she tried to will her team to a championship.

Pine Grove was the best team in 1A all season and completed their 4-peat behind the play of Elliott and Rogers.

Calhoun City 67, Coahoma County 57 (OT)


Player of the Game ⭐️

#14 Nashira Jennings (2021, G) 23 pts, 6 reb, 4 steals

*Nashira was able to get free for layups in transition and in the halfcourt.

*Damya was a steady contributor with key baskets and rebounds.

#20 Calysia Phillips (2020, G) 22 pts, 7 stl, 6 reb, 5 ast

*Calysia’s defensive pressure was the spark Coahoma County needed to send the game to OT.

In one of the more entertaining games of the week, City shot 17-25 from the free throw line and controlled the overtime period.

Senatobia 57, Ruleville-Central 45

*Senatobia had a balanced attack, but Richardson packed the stat sheet.

*Saddler, a MS Gulf Coast CC signee, was a beast down the stretch.

*Jackson provided a vital scoring punch for Columbus.

#5 Silentianna Collins (2020, G) 22 points, 9 rebounds

*Collins, an Ole Miss signee, showed why she is an SEC level talent.

Columbus held off a late charge by Brookhaven in an exciting matchup.

2020 6A Championship πŸ† (Girls)

Olive Branch 75, Clinton 51


Player of the Game ⭐️

#25 Endya Buford (2020, G) 40 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast

*Buford, a Memphis signee, had the most impressive individual performacne of all the girls’ finals as she dominated the second half on both ends of the floor.

#11 Nadia Gillespie (2020, G) 10 points, 7 rebounds

*Gillespie, an Itawamba Community College signee, did all her damage in just 15 minutes of action.

#4 Jakayla Johnson (2020, G) 10 points, 8 rebounds

*Johnson battled foul trouble but she is very talented.

One Main Thing βœ…

Buford cemented her name as an Olive Branch legend with 36 points in last year’s 5A title win and 40 in this year’s 6A win.
