Notes: New Site calmly knocked down 24 of their 30 free-throws to help claim the victory. Lily Whitley (5-11 ’22 F New Site 33 pts 2 3’s 7-8 ft 8 reb 1 ast 2 st) earned Player of the Game honors with her strong inside-out play. She can nail the three ball or she can score very well around the basket. Another very, very impressive player was Chloe Chism (5-10 ’25 G New Site 16 pts 12-14 ft 6 reb 6 ast 2 blk 1 st). The big guard does it all for the Lady Royals. She crashes the boards hard and plays a true point. She “only” had 6 assists but could’ve had about 10 more if not for fouls on shot attempts or missed shots. She always had her teammates in the right position for the basket.

Nettleton has an athletic team paced by Madison Miller (5-10 ’22 F/C Nettleton 14 pts 2 3’s 4-5 ft 5 reb 4 st). Zion Seals (’25 G Nettleton 24 pts 3 reb 1 ast 3 st) racked up the hustle baskets. She has a knack for getting the ball in the right spot to score.

Notes: Anterrion Vinson (’24 G Nettleton 23 pts 1 3’s 5 reb 2 ast 3 st) muscled his way to 23 points and earned Player of the Game honors. Jamorian Ball (6-3 ’23 G/F Nettleton 15 pts 4 3’s 7 reb 1 ast 1 blk 2 st) is a long, lanky shooter that is a nice prospect to keep an eye on.

New Site has an unlucky number and that is 7. They cut the Nettleton lead to 7 several times but then Nettleton would push it back out to double-digits. One statement I heard a knowledgeable person say was that this New Site team is getting better with every game and I agree with that. I’m seeing improvements in the box score with every game I look at.
