Gerald Snider Neshoba Central Camp Report

March 17, 2018

Neshoba Central HS

Philadelphia, MS

Post Grads

Lonnie Bass

6-5 210 lbs G/F 2017

Columbia

He took the second semester off after one semester at USM. He could’ve easily been the most college promising player at the camp. He showed that he has an inside and outside game. He passed the ball very well from the low block and he connected on several mid range jumpers. He hit some three’s to show he can step out and shoot. The lefty can create off the dribble and get his own shot. He handles the ball well when he gets a defensive board. He gets the ball up the court and passes good on the break. The best asset for this long and strong bodied wing is not shown when he is on the court but when he is on the bench. He was cheering and coaching his team while he was sitting on the bench. That can be a contagious trait for any team to add.

Amaras “Mars” Fairley

5-11 160 lbs G 2017

Quitman

He is currently enrolled at Jones CC. He is a shifty ball handler that is good at getting to the rack. He can score around contact. He showed that he can knock down the long shots when left open. His on-ball defense was aggravating.

A prototypical 2 guard for the next level. He has a big frame with a strong body that can get off a quick outside shot. He scores from outside or from mid range. He is one of the better team players that makes that extra pass for the better shots. A very solid passer that finds the open man.

Strong bodied guard. He bullies other guards around the paint. He finishes strong around the basket. Good He showed that can can be a good passer too. He played solid on-ball defense.

He has a killer pull-up mid range jumper. He showed that he has a really good passers eye finding open guys all day.

Ladarius “LP” Portis

Trajan “Tray” Fielder

5-11 130 lbs SG

Neshoba Central

Could have easily been the best shooter in the gym. He shot the three ball at around 75% on the day. Every time he shot you knew it was going in. he has extended range on his 3 ball too. He used that to set up his mid range game where he was knocking down jumpers with ease. He crashed the boards hard on both ends. He looks like a really nice and polite guy but he tried to end another players day when he drove baseline and tried to posterize him. He also tried to knock home several put back dunks. He played well above the rim. He was well above the rim on the defensive end when grabbing boards.

2020

Coby “Rod” McMillan

He might’ve been one of the better players at the camp or at least the most talented for the future. He is a deadly outside shooter. He crashes the boards hard. He was a very good team player and seemed to always find the open man with some good passes. He could end up being a high level guy if he keeps working hard.

Iverson Eiland

5-9 140 lbs G

The lefty shooting guard kinda just played at a patient pace and he struck when he had opportunities. He crashed the offensive boards hard.

Jalen “Sniper” Daniels

5-11 142 lbs PG

He is a smooth ball handler that is a true point. He is a really good passer. He also has a good long range shot. He’s a good one to keep an eye on in the future for Coach Miller.

Hunter Barron

Neshoba Central

Coach Byrd has a really good 2020 class he’s working on. He’s another Byrd type player. He plays with hustle and effort. He will continue to develop with the other sophomores at Neshoba Central so watch out for them.

He might’ve been the most beastly looking player on the court. He was the best rebounder at the camp. He played with fast hands on the defensive end. He was a good one-on-one defender. He is one that could be a high end player if he puts in the time and work.
