Wow what a game! These kids brought the all-star atmosphere and was also able to keep it very competitive. Both teams played hard on both ends of the court. The North All-Stars pulled out a 103-89 win over the South All-Stars. Thanks to East Central CC Coaching staff for putting on a great game.
All-Star Rosters, Stats and Notes
North Team 103
Keyshawn Gladney 5-11 ’18 SG Louisville: 7 pts 1 3’s 4 reb 1 st
Kendarius Chambers 6-3 ’18 C Louisville: 15 pts 19 reb (12 in 2nd half) 1 st 1 charge taken
Here is your Magnolia Hoops Player of the Game. He really didn’t do too much but rebound and score putbacks. O yeah, that was 19 rebounds, in an All-Star Game. Very solid play on the offensive boards and it seemed like every defensive board was his. Great job big fella.
Isaac Eiland 6-2 ’18 G Nanih Waiya: 11 pts 2 3’s 10 reb 4 ast 1 st
I watched him play during the regular season and I really liked what I saw but I just needed confirmation. It is confirmed, he can play. He went in and messed around and got a double-double and was well on his way to a triple-double. If the shots had fell that he set up he would’ve had 12 assist. He showed his scoring diversity by knocking down a couple three’s and a couple mid-range jumpers. He just has the ability to get into the lane and dish to the open man or kick out to the hot hand.
Malik Miller 6-0 ’18 G/F Noxapater: 11 pts (8 in 2nd half) 2 3’s 9 reb (7 in 2nd half) 2 ast 2 st
He really come alive in the second half. He would come flying out of nowhere snagging boards.
Jared Triplett 5-10 ’18 G Noxapater: 12 pts 5-5 ft 1 3’s 5 reb 1 ast 1 st
He played a very solid and steady game. 5 of 5 from the free throw line gets my attention.
Trajan “Trey” Fielder 6-0 ’18 SG Neshoba Central: 17 pts (13 in 1st half) 1 3’s 5 reb 4 ast 1 blk
The best shooter in the building in my opinion had probably his worst shooting performance of his career. He only hit one three but no problem, he still figured out how to score and get his teammates in on the scoring.
Joe Watson 6-1 ’18 G Southeast Lauderdale: 17 pts 5 3’s 10 reb 1 st
The East Central CC Player of the Game shot the cover off the ball. He has a very nice looking stroke with extended range. He also provided a double-double with his strong defensive rebounding. He would clear the board and get the ball up the court in a hurry fro scoring opportunities.
South Team 89
Keziah Wash 6-0 ’18 SG Forest: 7 pts 2 3’s 3 reb 1 st
Fred Harper 5-10 ’18 SG Morton: 13 pts 1 3’s 8 reb 1 ast 1 st
He showed some versatility playing both guard spots for his team. He rebounded smartly.
LaDarius Jennings 6-2 ’18 F Morton: 9 pts 2-2 ft 1 3’s 5 reb
Brandon Payne ’18 G Newton: 6 pts 1 3’s 5 reb 2 st
