2022 Lighthouse Classic

Day 1 Recap

The stats are provided by Blake Long and his Northeast MS CC crew. They are the best in the business at keeping stats and can’t be thanked enough for the great job that they do. A very Special thanks goes out to Tanner Marlar, Wesley Odle and Garrett Tucker of HoopSeen for contributions to this report.

(B) Corinth Warriors (4A Corinth, MS) 40

Trinity Christian Academy Lions (II-A Jackson, TN) 54

Notes: Trinity Christian used a strong defensive performance and a balanced offensive attack to hold of the home team in the nightcap. Will Wysor (6-3 ’23 SG Trinity Christian 12 pts 4-6 fg 4-5 ft 6 reb 2 ast 2 blk 1 st) earned MVP honors. The Lions also have a special player to watch out for in the future. I’m sure Lekhy Thompkins (6-2 ’26 F Trinity Christian 7 pts 2-2 fg 6 reb 1 blk 2 st) will eventually be a Sunday player but for now he is my “Baby Zion”. Give him 5 more inches and he would be the athletic twin of Zion. He’s built like a brick wall and is freakishly athletic. He affected every area of the court in his limited minutes.
